This was an excellent experience. Beverly Moss answered my first phone call…When the crew came to (remove & replace) my roof they were very clean and picked up before they left the house. Everything with this experience was fabulous.

Mr. Moss checked out our roof and gave us an estimate – very nice man and very honest. He had the job until he found out that there might be hidden wood damage under the roof. At that point he pulled the estimate he had given us and told us the job might be too complicated for the company to deal with since the house has a rolled edge roof. He thought the whole roof would have to be reshaped. I was disappointed because I really like this company. But, the respect I gained for this company was worth a lot more. He walked away from this job because he was honest, and this is rare. I just wanted to pass this information along for the family out there looking for an honest company.

I thought I might need a new roof. Steve Moss came out, looked it over and told me it’s in excellent condition for its age. He also mentioned that someone had done extensive roof repairs by the chimney – I didn’t know this, and the leak mark on the ceiling is probably just the result of this winter’s sleet storm and some unusual ice damming by the flashing on the chimney. He explained what to look for in an aging roof. When I asked if I need to have the skylights replaced when the roof is replaced ( a neighbor had a roofer insist that she do this) he told me that I have the best skylights on the market and he believes they will last me through my next roof. I couldn’t have been more pleased with his honesty and helpfulness. I will definitely call him again when it appears my roof has reached the end of its life.

We had just purchased a “fixer-upper” on the north side of Indianapolis. Being new to town, we had few options on selecting a home improvement company that we could trust, so we used Angie’s List as our guide. Our selection criteria included Moss Roofing; we met with Steve Moss and received a quote for replacing our roof. We chose MHI to replace our roof and were so excited with the results that we included them as candidates for all our remodel projects. The MHI staff was friendly and professional, arrived on time, cleaned up before they left, and really took pride in their work. The results were fantastic!

From the moment we called for an estimate, everyone has been a joy to work with. They bent over backwards to work with us, the insurance company, and to keep us informed about changes. In fact, we were called one evening to let us know that work could begin on our roof the next day – a full two weeks earlier than originally expected. They use quality materials, work fast, and do what they say they are going to do. What more can you ask for?

Exceptionally friendly, professional, HONEST, business to hire. We had 3 estimates for the new roof. Only part of the roof leaked but it seemed cost effective to replace it all at once. However, Steve Moss was the only roofer to draw our attention to other problems that needed to be addressed. We had 2 dormers that were missing wood and had metal pieces pulled out – no other roofer mentioned this issue. We also had a back wall that was not in plain site that was badly damaged and was probably causing the worst of the leaks. No other roofer mentioned this either. Steve showed us detailed pictures of the areas, which were obviously desperately in need of repair. Steve gave us the BEST estimate to repair all of these items. He contacted us in a timely fashion and was willing to meet with us more than once. Bev Moss was always helpful and even sent lots of pictures of the roof. Because we had so many problems with this roof, this was an angst filled project. Bev and Steve were the best to work with. They were always willing to answer questions, very reassuring, and EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE about their work. The roof and dormers look beautiful. The work was done exactly when weather would allow. The work was done in exactly the amount of time they required. Our house and yard was left immaculate. Since this work has been done we have had 2 windy hard rain storms. In the past this would have caused major leaks, we have had NO LEAKS. Overall, what started out as a stressful, anxiety producing experience turned into a fact filled, pleasant learning process.
